Course Description:
Oral Ulcers, Oral Infections and Leukoplakia in the Molecular Age (6 CEs) Sook-Bin Woo, DMD, FDSRCS How to Diagnose and Treat Oral Ulcers Learning Objectives: -Be able to distinguish simple aphthous ulcers from other ulcerative conditions -Know when patients should be referred -Be knowledgeable about treatment using topical and systemic agents Medical Management of Oral Mucosal Disease Learning Objectives: -Know how to diagnose inflammatory mucosal disease and mucosal infections -Know how to use effectively use anti-fungal and anti-viral medications -Be knowledgeable about the use of topical steroids Leukoplakia in the Molecular Age Learning Objectives: -Be able to distinguish between leukoplakia and other white lesions -Understand that all leukoplakias are precancerous -Know the different modalities of treatment for leukoplakia Conflict of Interest / Financial Disclosure: Oral Pathology: A Comprehensive Atlas and Text Recommended Audiences: G, S, DH, DA, DL, OP
